Petra on being CEO at SuiteCorner: “All ideas are welcome”
She’s the heart of SuiteCorner – a leader with empathy, courage and a big dose of humor. Meet Petra, our CEO who always puts people first.
There are managers, and then there’s Petra Nolby. Our CEO who manages to combine sharp business strategy with a genuine curiosity for people – and a deep love for both chocolate ice cream and hand cream.
Petra is based in Stockholm but has her presence felt wherever SuiteCorner is active. When we ask her what she enjoys most about working here, the answer is clear:
First and foremost, my colleagues. They are incredibly knowledgeable in our field, but they also have many hobbies and interests. They’re also really fun to work with, and there’s always room for humor.
It’s immediately clear that Petra is passionate about building a workplace where ideas are welcome. Where we test, evaluate, laugh – and grow together.
We try to keep our workplace dynamic. All ideas are welcome. Some will work, others won’t. That’s how we grow.
Morning meetings? Not before nine
Petra doesn’t have a standard workday – and that suits her perfectly.
There’s no such thing as a typical day. But usually, my day doesn’t start as early as everyone else’s. No meetings before nine for me.
Her days are often a mix of client contact – where she’s personally responsible for several accounts – and internal matters like budget, finance, and strategic planning. Add the occasional call with our NetSuite partners, and you’ve got a high-paced day, driven by Petra’s signature blend of structure and engagement.
When it comes to NetSuite, she has a clear favorite feature:
Saved searches in NetSuite are my go-to for everything. I love creating all kinds of reports and documentation – and I use them for troubleshooting too.
Life beyond the work laptop
After work, Petra often heads to her newly purchased summer (and winter) house. It’s a place for spending time with family and friends – for both recovery and creative inspiration.
And yes, she’s given some thought to superpowers:
I have two. 1. Invisibility, of course – so I can see what people do when they’re alone or when the kids are with their friends and parents aren’t welcome.
2. The second would be the ability to read people’s minds. Though honestly, I’d probably use that power way too much – so it’s probably for the best that it doesn’t exist.
That may be true – but we’d say Petra already has her own kind of superpower: truly seeing people, and creating a workplace where both ideas and individuals are given the space to grow.
